they were able to virtualize 76 servers.  This will be all real-world, =
including their architecture pros/cons, migrations hits/misses, etc.  W=
e have talked about virtual servers a lot before and now it’s great to have =
a local company sharing with us their real world experiences. Dan =
Sullivan from VMWare will also be onsite to answer questions.

I highly encourage you all to attend, this is a rare opportunity to hear one of our neighbors talk about how=
they consolidated over 75 servers.

The folks at ISACA New England (http://www.isacane.org/) have a gr=

event coming up next week – March 14th.  ISACA is a local user group=20=

focusing on IT Governance, Audit, Controls – big in the CISA, CISM space.&nb=

Anways, they have Foundstone coming to Durham, NH for Hacking Exposed L=

presentation with the focus on internal network and web application=20
security.  This is a great event for folks working in Network Security =

IT Audit/Controls.

Foundstone will demonstrate how it is possible to disc=

information about hosts on a network using both commercial and free tools.&n=

They will also demonstrate how much information can be gathered by simply=20=

sniffing a network including wireless and show how even encrypted sessions c=

be hijacked through man-in-the-middle attacks.  Attendees will also be=

educated on the basics of password cracking and hacking web applications. Th=

session will include a "Threats and Countermeasures" section provi=
ding attendees=20
with valuable insight into remediating the vulnerablites presented in this=

session.
